The Queensland Indigenous Languages Advisory Committee (QILAC) works in partnership with language centres and funding bodies to host a statewide meeting for language workers and programs every two years.

These statewide events are an important way to support and extend the work we all do on our languages. QILAC welcomes your ideas in planning the gatherings.

Building on the success of Guali bula ŋina (Bundaberg, 2015) and Ngirrma Puwal Pukang (Cairns, 2014) the 2016 State languages meeting, Kanji Waiburra, is being organised in collaboration with the Yugambeh Museum, Language and Heritage Research Centre. The Yugambeh Museum have proposed to hold the meeting on the Gold Coast in conjunction with Yugambeh Mobo.

Please join our mailing list to be kept informed of dates and programme.
